Canary Islands fishing offices are located in the capital of each island. If you want a fishing licence, go early (they open at 9 in the morning). In the summer it gets busy, plus the offices work only till 1 o’clock. During the rest of the year, they’re open till 2 o’clock. Another reason to go early is to have enough time to pay the fishing fees. Many bank tellers won’t attend you after 11 a.m. unless you’re a customer. If you arrive after this time, the bank staff may “invite” you to go elsewhere. Offices are shut on weekends, holidays, and other days, like Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and local holidays.
