Fishing in La Presa de las Niñas can be one of the most rewarding experiences. It is a privately owned man-made reservoir. The water levels are low because it hasn’t rained hard for many months (updated March 2024). After remaining nearly empty for over a year, the Presa de Las Niñas reservoir experienced a recovery in April 2025, when heavy rainfall raised water levels by six meters and added 500,000 cubic meters of rainwater.

There is a 400 year old pine tree there, known as the “Cassandra tree”. It seems a teenage girl called Cassandra fell in love with a boy. Villagers thought she was a witch and burnt her.
